Winter Carnival needs volunteers

This year’s Winter Carnival is scheduled for the afternoon of February 10th, 2019. We are looking to our neighbours for help to plan, run activities, and sell food. If you have a fresh idea you would like to see or simply wish to help with the familiar ones, send us an email at qtncommunity@gmail.com. Approximately 200 individuals attend the carnival each year and the board is always in need of a helping hand to plan and execute this successful event.

Frank Ryan Park rink needs volunteers

Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to help out with the rink this season! We are still in need of several other individuals. If you are willing to help, please sign up HERE!

What’s involved? Volunteers are expected to have a cell phone for emergencies, make note of the number of skaters at the rink, and help shovel during light snowfalls. That’s it! Have a question? Contact your fantastic rink coordinator: James Tompkins.

Outdoor rink needs volunteers

Frank Ryan Park’s community rink can only operate with the support of generous volunteers. Please sign up HERE to help keep the field house open for our friendly neighbourhood skaters! The only thing you need to do is show up with a cell phone. Play hockey outside or read a book inside! Great for new residents to meet your neighbours! High Schoolers over 16 in need of volunteer hours! Retirees!  Families who will skate regularly anyway! Busy professionals who play with their phones a lot!

Those expressing interest will be contacted by December 23rd with detailed information on scheduling and the limited responsibilities involved. Sign up HERE. Any questions please contact rink coordinator James Tompkins.
