The Future of Lincoln Fields

New plans for the Lincoln Fields area will have major impacts for QTN.  The proposed Lincoln Fields Secondary Plan is finally becoming public.  We encourage QTN residents to learn more and voice your views in two upcoming events:

November 22, 6 pm:  Zoom Meeting on the Lincoln Fields plan, hosted by Councillor Kavanagh.  Register here: https://www.baywardbulletin.ca/lincoln-fields-secondary-plan-open-house/

December 12:  Open House to look at maps and plans more closely and ask questions of City planners, between 7 and 9 pm.   This will be held at La Maison de francophonie, in the Community Room, 2720 Richmond Road.    It is sponsored by QTNca.  We want to hear from you as our planning committee continues its analysis and advocacy work on this plan. Watch for more analysis here after the proposed plan becomes public.

Major changes that will impact residents of QTN include:

  • proposed changes for access to Kichi Zibi Mikan from Carling Avenue.
  • mix of high-rise residential towers (up to 3,000 units), stores, and a new park at the mall site.
  • some improvements for bikers and pedestrians.

The Lincoln Fields Secondary Plan will go to City Council for approval in early 2024.
