We have lures to build your own Gypsy moth trap

As we observe the Gypsy moth outbreak in QTN, we were pleased to see so many residents protecting the local canopy. As the life cycle of the Gypsy moth changes from caterpillar to moth we have obtained and are offering lures so you can build your own trap.

If you are interested in a lure, please contact nature.qtn@gmail.com

Use of Park Spaces in QTN: Survey Results and Analysis

QTN residents care deeply about the green spaces and parks in our neighborhood. That came through strongly in the 214 responses to a survey sponsored by the community association. The responses included desired uses, suggestions for improvements, and concerns. These will inform further discussions within QTN and with City parks officials and our City Councillor.

It’s Clean-up the Capital time! We have been authorized to run the clean-up event. To keep COVID safe, we will spread the clean-up over a weekend. Meet us at the Frank Ryan gazebo during one of these time periods:

  • Friday, June 18 from 11h30 to 13h30
  • Saturday, June 19, 10h00 to noon
  • Sunday, June 20 10h00 to noon

Volunteers will be there to give you clean-up supplies (gloves and bags) and direct you to a stretch of the park to clean up.
