QTNca Annual General Meeting (October 23 @ 6:30 PM)

Our AGM will focus uniquely on the community’s challenges and accomplishments over the past year, our priorities for the upcoming year, and solicit feedback from the community on their vision for the future of QTN.

  • When: October 23rd, 2019 at 6:30 PM until 7:30 PM
  • Where:
    • Severn Avenue Public School
    • 2553 Severn Ave, Ottawa, ON

We look forward to seeing you there! For a copy of last year’s minutes, follow this link (Google Drive).

We’re organizing an infonight – what topics do you want to hear about?

In past years we have invited guest speakers but due to the limited time available we have struggled to offer meaningful engagement. We are instead looking to gather the priorities of community members which will allow us to strategically engage yourselves and key stakeholders at a later date. We are optimistic that organizing an infonight session will offer community members and stakeholders the ability to truly engage with each other.

Your feedback is critical to making this a success, please take a minute to complete our survey.

Looking to stay informed?

The best way to stay up to date on the association’s activities is to subscribe to our newsletter which is sent at the end of each month. We also repost all our activities on the community’s Facebook page. Additionally, in an effort to remain transparent we do our best to make all our meeting and annual general meeting minutes accessible to the community.

Want to get involved?

Reach out to us at qtncommunity@gmail.com and let us know how you want to make your community better! We’re also looking for board members.

QTNca needs more directors

The QTNca board of directors currently has 6 vacancies. While we continue to work hard, we want to do more and are asking for your assistance to help guide and lead our community.

What is the commitment?

  • Less than two hours a month – The board meets once per month (1.5 hrs), except during the summer months. While its expected that you try to make every meeting, we recognize that life is more complicated than that.
  • Work on what interests you – It’s not fun being voluntold to do anything. Board members volunteer on the committees and projects that most interest them. Only interested in the rink? carnival? trees? Perfect!

Interested? Contact us at qtncommunity@gmail.com. It would be helpful if you express why you would be an excellent candidate, what interests you, and where you are located (to support diversity within the board’s membership).

Our Annual General Meeting details will be announced shortly and we want to see you there. Stay tuned for that announcement in order to catch up on the past year and what the future holds for QTN!

Ottawa-West-Nepean Federal Candidates Meeting

You are invited to a federal candidates meeting for Ottawa-West-Nepean being organized by our neighbours from the Britannia Village, Belltown and Lincoln Heights Parkway communities.

  • Where? Dr. F.J. McDonald Catholic School, 2860 Ahearn Ave (view on Google maps)
  • When? October 10th, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM (Doors open at 6:30 PM)
  • Need more information? Follow the Facebook Event

Can’t make the meeting above? The Bel-Air Community Association is organizing a candidates forum on September 26th at Ben Franklin Place. It’s not as close to QTN but is another great way to get involved. Please see their Facebook event for more information.
