On Tuesday, December 24th volunteers will welcome and feed guests at the following locations:

  • Carlington Recreation Centre, 1520 Caldwell Ave from 12:30 to 2:30 PM

Are you looking to help out with Operation Big Turkey? Spread some cheer this year by accompanying an individual or group to one of our locations! Unfortunately, there are some members of our community who miss out on this wonderful meal because they need transportation or don’t want to go alone. Let’s change that this year! Make someone’s day extra special by bringing them out to Operation Big Turkey to share a great meal and conversation.

Upcoming Presentation on 2554 Carling Ave (Dec 2nd)

As announced in our earlier December meeting roundup, we noted an upcoming information session and opportunity for discussion on a proposed apartment project at 2554 Carling Ave (corner of Carling and Tavistock).

To help engage the community in advance of this meeting the developer has shared an information packet. We encourage you to review the document and consider meeting the developer if it is of interest to you.

Upcoming December Meetings on QTN Issues (LRT, Lincoln Fields, Development)

QTN residents are grieving the loss of trees for the LRT project this week, some very old ones and many that had special meaning for residents. The QTN planning committee did not get advance notice of this, and when the information came, it was too late and inadequate to pursue any alternatives. We have voiced our concern about the lack of information and opportunity to ask questions.

Now there are a series of meetings on issues of importance to QTN.  Take note of the following dates or subscribe to our calendar:

The QTN Planning Committee has requested a separate meeting with the LRT team to discuss issues related to plans through our neighborhood in greater detail.
