Volunteers Needed: Frank Ryan Park Outdoor Rink

Frank Ryan Park’s community rink can only operate with the support of generous volunteers. Please sign up HERE to help keep the field house open for our friendly neighbourhood skaters! How demanding is this role? The only thing you need to do is show up with a cell phone.

You can choose to play hockey outside or read a book inside. It’s a great activity for new residents to meet your neighbours or for High Schoolers over 16 in need of volunteer hours! Retired? Regularly coming out to skate already? Sounds perfect! Those expressing interest will be contacted with detailed information on scheduling and the limited responsibilities involved. Sign up HERE.

Couldn’t make the AGM? Here’s what you missed

Missed the AGM and want to see what was presented? We have made our presentation available here: 2019-10-23 AGM Presentation (PDF). In addition to the presentation, we solicited:

  1. Volunteers for upcoming events (e.g., carnival, rink, etc)
  2. Feedback to prioritize the association’s work in the coming year (the survey is still open!); and
  3. Feedback on how you define the Character of QTN;

Reminder: QTNca Annual General Meeting (October 23 @ 6:30 PM)

This year’s AGM will follow a different approach than past years. The feedback we’re soliciting at the AGM and through other avenues is going to allow the association to strategically prioritize our efforts. If you’ haven’t already completed it, please take a minute to complete our survey.

  • When: October 23rd, 2019 at 6:30 PM until 7:30 PM
  • Where: Severn Avenue Public School, 2553 Severn Ave, Ottawa, ON
  • Agenda:
    • Update from the board; financials and accomplishments
    • Election of members of the Board
    • Feedback stations and volunteer sign up

We encourage you to lug a mug, water will be available (to fill your cup) but no other refreshments will be provided.

Following the AGM, we will compile the community’s priorities which will allow us to strategically engage yourselves and key stakeholders at a later date. Stay tuned for more details on how you will be able to engage with key stakeholders on various topics.
